Mobile phones are devices that one can no longer do without. With the access to a mobile phone, we are always in range of dear and loved ones allowing us peace of mind. Even if we lose our beloved mobile phones, with the advancement of technologies, we can track its location and find out where its location is. GPS or Global Positioning system is one such manner of doing so and now days, most phones come equipped with a built in GPS system or other tracking chips embedded on the motherboard.
However, with the boons come the banes too. Primarily, using the GPS consumes a lot of energy and drastically reduces battery life. In case of the misuse of the lost mobile phone, the tracking system also leaves no space for privacy and all private information is readily accessible. GPS works well in an area where there is cellular coverage but fails to work effectively where there is lack of a signal making it unreliable at times.
