Solar power has its source from sun. This resource of energy is not exhaustible and therefore it is more than enough more meeting the needs of energy of the people and every other thing that lives in our planet. Heat is emitted by the sun continuously and this heat can be converted to electricity with the help of the right tools and the techniques. Most solar panels use a substance known as silicon for harnessing the solar power. Although silicon is a substance that is found naturally, it is not something that is inexhaustible. Therefore, alternative materials are used by many companies. Some companies are using crystal for the purpose.

However, crystal is not as effective as silicon. Generally, boron and phosphorous are mixed with silicon in the solar panels. It is important that these substances be mixed with silicon, as silicon is neutral in nature. It is important that the solar panels get full exposure to the sun for giving the best results.
