What is PMO
Those who have been working or listening business or technical articles must be acquainted with the meaning of the term PMO. From the major banks to the tiny manufacturing companies, all seem to be hovering on this so called PMO. The PMO stand well when expanded to Project Management Office. There persist varied types of PMO’s. It depends on a number of factors while choosing the right PMO for a particular company or agency. The structure, organizational level, purpose changes as per the needs and desires of the company or agency in which the PMO works. However all PMO’s have been found to have one important thing in common. That is they all focus on skill set of professionalism and profession of Project Management. The focus on operations is minimized. Apart from this common factor there are broadly four kinds of jobs that a PMO may get engaged into. Namely:

2. Standardizing of processes
3. Management of project portfolio
4. Management of project support staff
